A Change in the Weather... Finally!

Sooo, lately I have been complaining about the weather here because it's supposed to be fall and it's still hot as heck! BUT FINALLY today the weather was so nice out. No humidity. No heat. Just a nice cool breeze and cold refreshing air. Believe it or not, I was happy to be able to actually wear a pair of jeans and a half sleeve shirt. Where I live, I can only make it out of the house with shorts and a tank top... the humidity is just x_x So I'm just thankful for the lovely change in weather. Let's just hope it stays this way so I can finally wear some fall outfits.

I'm sure many of you are in the same boat as me and may find this video helpful. *!!!This is just basic fall fashion... layers of clothes, cardigans, blazers, boots etc. Nothing too trendy!!!* Hopefully this will give you some ideas. Enjoy! =)

I am so in love with these. The picture doesn't do justice on how cute these are!! I know the platform looks extremely intimidating but girl trust me when I say this... the fact that the platform is so chunky makes these extremely easy to walk in. These are by far thee most comfy wedges I own. :)

Just some plain basic cami's ($2.50 Ea)

From The Thrift Store:

Now let me just say a lot of people may find shopping at thrift stores a bit discouraging. I could completely understand where they are coming from because I used to have the same view point. But I have been thrifting for years now and I do have to admit it is well worth it. Now I'm not saying for you not to expect it to be a bit dirty, dusty, or even just plain nasty. I mean come on now the things given to thrift stores ARE "hand me downs" and they are definitely not in brand spankin new condition. BUT you do find AMAZING deals and awesome buys IF your willing to actually look. Alot of things are usually in good condition... you just have to be willing to spend some time to find the treasure. If you're weary about going to a thrift store I suggest maybe trying out Goodwill. A lot of things in there, not just clothes are actually new. That is the only "thrift store" that I have seen that will have some new merchandise. Back to my point though, thrifting is really great and it's definitely something everyone should try. It doesn't burn a hole in the pocket and you come home with a lot more things. For example, if i went to Wet Seal (now nothing against Wet Seal because i absolutely adore that store)with 50 dollars I might be lucky to walk out with just a couple of things. But at the thrift stores 50 dollars could get you multiple shirts, skirts, dresses and whatever else floats your boat. Not only that but you find many one of a kind pieces that no one else would be able to get there hands on and I find that appealing in itself. BUT there are a few sections of the thrift store that I tend to stay away from and that would be:

Shoes: I don't like the thought of my foot going into somewhere where another persons foot has been you know what i mean? One word... FUNGUS something I've never had and don't plan on contracting...

Undergarments: Need I explain? LOL

Jeans: I never find anything good here.. usually old worn out and not up to date.

This pink and black blazer is absolutely adorable and perfect for spring. Soo cute.

Detail. Gotta pay attention to Detail.

These black buttons are absolutely adorable.

Classic Black and White Blazer ($3.45)

Cute Pockets

Gorgeous Teal Cardigan by Anne Taylor. Size medium but I can work with it. It can be the boyfriend fit. I got this half off for about $2.50... What a deal! :)
